TBA are constantly on the lookout for new products to help maximise yield output. Listed below you will find a selection of new feed additives as well some of the tried and tested.

F1 Yeast and Yeasacc Farm Pak - TBA have been involved in the use of yeasts for over 12 years and have experience in choosing the correct yeast for your feed system. Whether your feeds are high starch or fibre orientated, these products work by oxygen scavenging which leads to the stimulation of fibre digestion and lactate utilising bacteria, which enables the rumen to work more effeciently. These yeasts are approved for use in Dairy, Beef and Sheep.

Typical feed rate of between 25 / 50 gms per head per day, depending on chosen product.

Mycosorb - This a patented product that is rich in Glucans that are known to absorb mycotoxins. Where mycotoxins have been identified, feeding this product has shown an increase of approx 1-2 litres per day.

Megalac - This product is the most used source of protected fat available. At 32 m.e., the benefits of using a by-pass energy speak for themselves and is essential in high production dairy diets.

Typical feed rate is 300 - 500 gms per head per day.

Megafat - Should your milk contract be fat orientated, then Volac’s Megafat, with its very high C16 content will help deliver a higher percentage of butter fat and can be written into any diet.

Omega Pro 'F' Extra - Manufactured exclusively for FIAM by UFAC UK, this specialist high protected protein source with bonded glucose, high vitamin E and fish oils is an excellent product which can really help when d.u.p. levels are low. With the inclusion of high quality Omega 3 oils, this product has been proven to aid in heat detection and stronger signs of bulling.

TransCow Omega 'F' (for transition cows) - FIAM’s TransOmega is now recognised as one of the industry’s leading transition cow supplements. With its high levels of d.u.p. combined with direct energy sources such as propylene glycol, glucose, minerals/vitamins to an extreme level (particularly vitamin E and choline chloride), this product has a major effect on the most important stage of dairy cows life. Fed with straw and small amounts of T.M.R. we can improve yield and conception to first service just by treating the cow correctly for 3 weeks prior to calving. TBA has studies from Europe and the U.S.A. and it is of particular interest to our nutritionists.

Typical feed rate is 1kg per head per day.

ServActive 80\21 - Poor reproductive performance is one of the major costs affecting UK dairy farm margins. UK fertility is declining by 1% per year and is estimated to cost the average dairy farmer over £26,000 per year (based on 150 cow herd). By helping to reduce the impact of poor energy status on early lactation on herd fertility, costs of poor breeding can be reduced and farm margins increased. Improving dairy fertility isn't just about giving the cow more energy, it is about helping her to cope in early lactation by MANAGING the organs of the cow, as well as targeting the energy gap.

Typical feed rate is 300gms per head per day
